I was first approached by the brains over at Meinto with a plea to “help save local fashion.” It seemed a little silly but upon further investigation it seemed like the something I should really go on board with. Seeing that I forwent the normal teenage path of getting a retail or restaurant job when I lived in Maryland as long as possible by supporting myself through selling what I made, I felt the need to share a bit about this adorable site.
Q: What is Meinto.com? A: Meinto is a site that partners with local boutiques so they can have an online presence so people like you and me can shop their adorable and versatile stores in one spot. Upon looking at the website, I thought it was a brilliant idea. Shopping a bunch of small, local boutiques in one spot? Genius. With over 800 boutiques, it would be hard to find something you don’t like. I urge you to just give it a look. I was like a little kid in a candy store when I saw the creator of my new ruffled cape, Ark & Co., is being hosted by a few different boutiques on the site. Pieces like Ark & Co.’s crochet lace shorts and open back blush colored jumpsuit are so on my birthday list for this March (Hi, mom!).
